Hey there, Mama! I’m Jamie Davis, and I’d love to share my story with you!

I was born and raised in sunny South Carolina where I met my husband Caleb .  After almost five years of marriage, we were blessed with our very own bundle of joy–our son Dax.  Just a few months after Dax was born, we felt that God was calling us to serve, work, and live in Utah. So, we purged our belongings, packed a storage container with a few necessities, said some really hard “see you laters”, and set out on our 30 hour adventure across the country.  

Currently, I am a high school Biology teacher while Caleb teaches middle school US History. Caleb also coaches basketball  at a high school in the Valley. In January 2021, God blessed us with another precious boy–baby Cal. When we are not working, we love  to explore our new city, eat delicious food, and  serve at our local church. We also really love  watching sports and drinking good coffee–not usually simultaneously though!

I started Notes for Mamas because I needed ONE place to write about the things I am learning while maneuvering  mamahood.  Since becoming a mom, I have realized how quickly the time passes and how often I forget about the details that I promised I’d never forget. I am definitely a rookie mama, and I will never claim to have all the answers. But, I do want to share my notes that I have collected on my journey so far. It is my hope that you will find encouragement and helpful “mama tips” as you follow along with me!
