A few months ago, our friends invited us to go strawberry picking at the Kinlands Farm in Riverton, Utah. We signed up for one of their “Summer Land Experiences” where we got to hear all about life on the farm. One of the farmers gave us a quick tour and highlighted some key aspects of the farm and harvesting life.
The Kinlands- Strawberries
After the tour, we got to “hunt” for the most perfect strawberries! Dax loved picking the berries, filling his own personal basket, and sampling a few berries along the way.
We were so impressed with the farm staff and their willingness to teach us all about what they do each day. The indoor market and the animals by the barn were fun to visit as well!
The Kinlands- Sunflower Fields
We loved our first experience so much that we booked another trip to the Kinland’s sunflower field. Oh, the sunflowers were the BEST!
When we arrived to the field, we were given small shears and a large bucket. A kind lady at the front of the field explained the differences in the sunflower types and showed us how to pick them properly.
Dax and I had such a fun time choosing our sunflowers as the sun was beginning to set. We couldn’t wait to gift them to friends and display a few of them in our home!
The Kinlands Farm will also offer a pumpkin patch in the fall and fresh cut Christmas trees in the winter. We will keep you posted on our future visits!
PS: The farm offers a unique event space and photographer passes for those that are interested. Visit their website for more details.
