Utah Olympic Park
A few weeks ago, we got to explore Park City with Papa and Aunt Hannah. This was not our first trip to Park City, but it was our first time touring the Olympic Park Museum. We loved reading about the history that took place there during the 2002 Winter Olympics. You can pay for a guided tour through the museum or you can take a self-guided tour for free.
If you get the chance to visit Olympic Park, you definitely don’t want to miss seeing the outdoor pool that Olympians use for training during the off-season. The Flying Ace All-Stars offer tickets to their shows where they perform acrobatic jumps off of the slope and land in the pool below. Their shows usually run from June to September.
Historic Main Street Park City
Main street in Park City reminds me of a Hallmark movie–especially around the holidays. Fun fact- The Hallmark movie “My Christmas Love” was filmed in Park City back in 2016.
We strolled along one May afternoon, and all of the main street shops and restaurants were fairly quiet. When we visited back in November, the restaurants and shops were very busy, so you may get a different “vibe” depending on what time of year you visit.
Here’s a list of some of our favorite restaurants and shops along Main Street in Park City:
Butcher’s Chop House– great place for a steak dinner
The Bridge Café and Grill– amazing breakfast and brunch; great outdoor dining patio right at the bottom of the town ski lift
Pink Elephant Coffee Shop– tucked away above the Prospect Boutique
Dolly’s Bookstore– great place to explore; great reading section for kids
Sock City– just about every kind of sock you could ever want
