Easy Quarantine Recipes

Top Recipes for Quarantine-Ideas Shared by Moms for Moms

Aside from the occasional “Take-Out Tuesday” or “Fat Friday,” we have definitely been cooking at home more often over the past few weeks. The quarantine life has given us time to try some of those recipes that have been sitting on my Pinterest page for years.

Let’s not even talk about the extra pounds that could come from our extra time in the kitchen—I’m just hoping to “break-even” by working out just enough to counteract all the great food that we are eating. That’s a respectable goal, right!?

Recently, I asked several of my friends to share some of the recipes that they have tried over the past few weeks. Some are super simple while others require a little more time and effort.

Breakfast Recipes

Easy Bacon Egg Bites: We made these egg bites on Easter morning, and even my one year old loved them. They are super easy and super fast. We added green peppers and salsa to spice things up a bit.

Buttermilk Blueberry Breakfast Cake: Make it for breakfast, and then eat it for dessert.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins: It doesn’t have to be October to make pumpkin muffins! These are on the healthier side (made with honey, whole wheat flour, and bananas) so you can eat an extra one and not feel bad about it.

Sausage Balls: There’s nothing healthy about these sausage balls, but man, they are good.

Crescent Bacon Breakfast Ring: Bacon, cheese, and crescent rolls–what could go wrong?

Dinner Recipes

Crispy Chicken Tacos with Avocado Buttermilk Ranch: This one takes a little more time and effort, but the rewards are worth it!

Instant Pot Chili: We love this easy chili recipe. It is on the spicier side, so you may want to leave out the cayenne pepper if you have family members that don’t like much heat.

Thai Red Curry With Vegetables: A dinner favorite from my friend Rachael. Can’t wait to try this!

Crockpot BBQ Chicken: This has been one of our favorites for a while. The recipe has just a few ingredients, and it’s ridiculously easy to throw together.

Baked Pork Tenderloin: You can have this prepped and in the oven in about ten minutes. We made baked potatoes and roasted asparagus to go along side the pork, and we felt like we were being really fancy.

Easy Salsa Verde Chicken Enchiladas: A favorite from my friend Kristin. We’re excited to try this!

Blackened Chicken and Strawberry Salad: The chicken on this salad is so simple and yet so delicious! You could use the chicken for any recipe or just eat it by itself with a simple side.

Creamy Shrimp Pasta: This is an original recipe from my friend Crystal. Check it out!

Loaded Baked Potato Soup: Comfort food at its finest! This is a crockpot recipe, but we’ve made it in the instant pot and on the stove-top too. Just make sure your potatoes are cooked through before adding the roux.

Dessert Recipes

Joanna Gaines’ Chocolate Chip Cookies: These are the best chocolate chip cookies we’ve ever tried. Seriously. We normally use half of the batter and freeze the other half (wrapped in parchment paper) to use on another day.

Chocolate Bark: A super simple dessert that your kids can help you make, and you can use ingredients that are probably already in your pantry. I love this idea from my friend Katie!

Triple Berry Pie: A delicious spring/summer pie with simple ingredients–Bonus points that it’s also beautiful!

Brown Butter and Toffee Cookies: My friend Rachael is an amazing baker, and she loves this recipe. I’m so excited to try it!

French Silk Pie: Another Joanna Gaines recipe comin’ at ya. My brother and sister-in-law gave me the Magnolia Table Cookbook for Christmas this past year, and we’ve loved every recipe that we’ve tried so far. Joanna recently shared a step-by-step video of her making the pie here.
